Although you could run in this product, we don't recommend it. It was designed for low-impact activities such as golf, walking, light hiking or standing for long periods of time. If used for high-impact activities like running, the insulating qualities of the 3-layer foam may increase heat inside the shoe. Also, because of the increased thickness of the insole compared to our other products, use during longer runs could lead to a tighter fit as the foot swells. In addition, the foam top cover was designed to mold very closely to the foot to prevent excessive friction in low-impact activities only.
The Black DMP provides comfortable, therapeutic support for sensitive feet with a top cover designed to reduce friction due to excessive motion. The Copper DMP has the added nylon top cover for those who don't have sensitive feet but want to feel the extra molding and support from the dynamic foam system.
Our DMP products both use a 3-layer foam system that allows the insole to mold to your unique foot shape through daily wear, giving you a personalized fit without having to heat the insole in an oven. They offer similar support on the same low-volume stabilizer cap design that fits in most athletic, casual and everyday footwear with removable insoles, and are great for low-impact activities. The main difference between the products is in the top cover: Black DMP has a therapeutic foam top cover that is perfect for those with sensitive feet because it reduces friction in the shoe. Copper DMP features the 3-layer foam construction combined with our trusted nylon top cover which allows the foot and the insole to move independently of each other (similar to our other Trim-to-Fit insoles).
