We combined the natural thermoregulating properties of Merino wool with Superfeet's standard for support and performance. merinoGREY add structure to any roomy boot, shoe, loafer, or other work or casual footwear that may lack the support your feet need to perform their best. The thick pile of our 90% Merino wool top cover lays over the supportive FOUNDATION™ foam and Encapsulating Stabilizer System [ESS®], so you're supported, aligned and comfortable.

Encapsulating Stabilizer System [ESS]®
Superfeet merinoGREY™ features a unique stabilizer cap for optimal underfoot support. When integrated with the shape and design of the foam full length, this combination creates a deep heel cup to cradle the heel’s fat pad for improved natural shock absorption. This system provides comfort and necessary stability for different activities, footwear and foot types.

90% Merino Wool Top Cover
Superfeet merinoGREY™ features a 90% Merino wool topcover. We repurpose wool 'noils' left over from the wool sock industry, and instead of letting them go to waste, we blend them with virgin Merino fibers. This process creates a 90% recycled Merino wool top cover. After our blending process, the final result is an exceptionally soft Merino wool layer that offers extreme comfort,  added moisture wicking, insulation and breathability.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I clean merinoGREY?
Washing the merinoGREY is different than washing any other Superfeet insole. Heat, agitation and detergent should NOT be used! First, clap the insole against your hand to remove loose dirt and debris. Clean with cool water and mild soap. Use your fingers to pat out dirt. Dry by pressing with a paper towel and air drying away from a heat source overnight, or until completely dry. DO NOT put your Superfeet insoles in the dryer - the result isn't pretty.            
What kind of support does merinoGREY offer?
Our merinoGREY insoles have approximately the same level of support as our GREEN product. The two products are built on a stabilizer cap with the same deep heel cup, but the addition of the Merino wool top cover on the merinoGREY adds a bit more volume (making it slightly thicker than the GREEN, and making the heel cup slightly shallower).
Will merinoGREY make my feet sweaty? What can I do about it if they do?
Wool has inherent moisture-wicking and thermoregulating properties, making it quite breathable. The 90% Merino wool top cover of our merinoGREY should naturally help prevent your feet from becoming sweaty. As with our REDhot and hotPINK products, if your feet are sweaty you may want to look at the type of sock you are combining with your insole.
Will merinoGREY work in my skates?
Because of the ramped angle of a skate, we don't recommend using our products that were designed to lay flat in a shoe, like merinoGREY. We have designed our YELLOW insole for footwear that has a raised heel compared to the forefoot and recommend you use this insole in skates. Superfeet YELLOW also has a much thinner profile than any of our other insoles so it works best in tight-fitting skates.
