Adventure with SF: Meet Ryan

Adventure with SF header
We spend our days making products that help people run, jump, hike, ski, dance, climb, work, play and live life to its fullest. But when we aren't at the office, we're out in the world adventuring with Superfeet products, just like you. In this series, meet some of our employee-owners, read their stories and follow along as they #adventurewithsf in the Superfeet Sprinter Van.

About Ryan's Adventure

Where did you adventure to in the Superfeet Sprinter Van?

Olympic National Park. We spent our time at Rialto Beach and the Hoh Rain Forest.

Who did you adventure with?

My wife Kayla, and our dog Green Bean (a wire hair terrier mutt.)

What was the best part of your adventure?

Having a warm dry place to hang out between rain showers and to sleep at night! The SF sprinter van allowed us to turn a typical stormy spring weekend in the PNW into a really comfortable adventure.

Besides the sprinter van, the best part was spending time cleaning up the beach. We were inspired to help pick up trash by a local who was hauling out as much as he could carry on his daily walk. We started collecting trash and ended up dragging out roughly 100 pounds of trash such as plastic and discarded rope. Later that day we noticed other people coming back from their hikes hauling trash they had collected from the beach to the dumpsters as well. We felt part of a circle of inspiration, and happy to help to keep the park cleaner than we had found it.

Tell us something else fun/exhilarating/different/thrilling about your adventure:

Spending time in the untouched wild places of Olympic National Park is a poignant reminder that nature is powerful, majestic, and best when left untarnished. Visiting the Hoh Rain Forest was on my Washington State bucket list and the size of the trees, the amount of moss and the smell of the woods and river were magnificent. How can one describe standing next to a tree that is 300 ft tall, a hundred years old, and 10+ feet across?
