How are you being safe in this current climate?
We have hand sanitiser on entry, all clients are requested to wear face coverings and our staff are using visors as per the working in close proximity guidelines. Appointments have been spaced out to allow for more extensive cleaning of all surfaces and equipment. We have no try on socks available, but you can bring your own or we have plenty available to purchase. All of our work is by appointment to ensure 1-to-1 boot fitting, and clients are asked not to bring friends or family members where possible to minimise the number of people in-store. There are only ever two boot fitters working at any time, so only ever two clients in-store at a time. We offer Apple Pay as a means of contactless payment should people wish. In addition, as our business is appointment-based, we have a record of every client's contact details and when they attended the store in case this information is required for track and trace.
Why people should come in-store to get boots fitted?
At Solutions 4 Feet, every boot fit begins with an in-depth assessment of the foot and ankle and a discussion about your skiing history and current requirements. A suitable boot is selected from our extensive range based on foot shape, body weight, skier level and biomechanics. At Solutions 4 Feet we have over 60 models of ski boot suitable for all levels of skier, from novice to Olympic champion, including a number of freeride touring boots for those who like to climb up to earn their turns. After selection of the most suitable boot we then built a custom insole to support the foot in its best functioning position. Then the fitting work really begins, heat moulding any areas of shell or liner as appropriate, setting cuffs and making any final alterations to give you the very best fitting boots you have ever owned. All work is carried out by fitters who have taught skiing in the past and have several years’ experience. Each of our current staff have over 30 years fitting experience and the business owner is a board certified Pedorthist. Boot adjustments are free of charge for two years from purchase. Over the years, we have seen many different problems and love the challenge of solving different fit issues to give our clients the best skiing experience.

Top tip for wearing ski boots comfortably?
When clipping the boots up at the beginning of the day, start with warm, dry, clean socks. Clip the upper two clips first — get the ankle one really snug, then flex the boot a few times to get your heel right into the back of the liner prior to lightly closing the lower two clips. Always keep at least the upper clips closed when walking!

Where's your favorite ski resort, and why?
Impossible question to answer, there are so many fantastic places. It depends on the snow, the weather and of course, the company!
