"My foot doctor recommended I buy these insoles. I have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. I have had them for several weeks. I have them in my golf and walking shoes. I did insert the heel cups. "i’m actually reviewing an alternative insole sent to me free of charge because the Casual Pain Relief model was too thick for my shoe. Age 56, female. Wore hard custom orthotics for years which helped my right foot due to pronation developed during pregnancy. However, have now developed heel pain on left; possibly a spur. Dr. Scholl's helps some but not enough. I hike, 3-6 miles flat and hills. Backpack up to 4 miles with 35-40#. Still need some arch support but not hard like before. Have wide feet (left a little less wide than right due: have bunions that don't hurt if I wear wide enough shoes). Width across metatarsal heads on L = 4.25" and length 9.5" in weight bearing; width on R = 4.5" and length 9.75" in weight bearing. I weigh about 155#. Based on these indicators, can you recommend an orthotic? Thank you

Age 61,female, hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome with hypermobile feet, bilateral plantar fasciitis x8 years, bilateral heel spurs, old surgical stabilization both ankles. About 35 lbs overweight. Arch appears normal/high but collapses to completely pancake flat on weight bearing. No running etc I just want to walk without excruciating pain. Hi Karen, If you are a EE width or narrower, the standard unisex insoles should fit fine. If your foot is 3E up to 6E in width, wideGREEN will be the only insole we have that will accommodate 3E-6E in width.

How do I trim my new insoles to fit my shoes?

Full-length Superfeet insoles are supposed to be trimmed to fit in your shoes. If your insoles are too long:

Help, my insoles squeak! What should I do?

Most often this is caused by improper fit in your shoes. Here's how to check the fit:

  • First, be sure the insole is trimmed correctly. Remove the Superfeet insole from your shoe.
  • If you see creases in the foam at the toe or sides of the insole, you may need to do some additional trimming.
  • Trim insoles slightly to ensure they move independently inside the shoe. Leave a 1-2mm gap between the insole and the shoe's end.
  • Sprinkle baby powder or place a dryer sheet under the insole if the squeak persists.
  • Test insoles in another pair of shoes to check if they are too wide.

How should I clean my Superfeet insoles?

It’s a good idea to clean your Superfeet insoles occasionally.

  • Handwash: Use mild soap and warm water.
  • Brush: Use a soft-bristle toothbrush if needed.
  • Rinse: Rinse well, remove excess water with a soft towel.
  • Air Dry: Allow to air dry, but avoid heat sources.
  • DO NOT MACHINE WASH OR DRY: The results aren’t pretty. Your insole will be damaged and its effectiveness will be compromised.

Ready to break in your insoles? Here's how to do it right!

Superfeet insoles may require a break-in period of about two weeks.

For the first week:

  • Wear the insoles for 1-2 hours on the first day.
  • Increase to 2-3 hours on the second day.
  • Gradually increase the duration each day.

Continue this process until your feet are accustomed to wearing the insoles all day long.

Do I have to wear socks with my insoles?

  • Recommendation: Wear socks to absorb moisture, reduce friction, and extend insole life.
  • Sockless: If you prefer going sockless, clean and air out insoles regularly.
