Reviews

Great for long distance hiking and backpacking

"Without these insoles, my max is around 6 to 7 miles. With these insoles in my hiking boots, I can go up to 12 miles with no foot issues at all. They were the perfect size for my shoes. I didn’t need to trim any off and I didn’t need to take time for my feet to get used to them. I just put them in my boots and go. I’ll never hike without them now."

Fit perfectly in my merrell

"Fit perfectly in my merrell hiking boots. Prior to the switch, the boots felt like flat boards with no support. Afterwards, I had great arch support and the cushioning around the heel was much improved. Dramatically improved the comfort of the shoes."

Brian W. (5/5)

Great insoles!

"Put these in my lowa renegade boots and they made a solid boot even better!! I have used the run cishion insoles before and these seemed pretty similar. I wear those with all my shoes, so it's great to know have a version that's great for hiking!"

Eric V. (5/5)

Game Changer

"I put these in a pair of my danner hiking boots which I had been lukewarm to based on foot volume and comfort issues. Adding this thicker cushion with higher arch was a game changer."

Daniel R. (5/5)

My Podiatrist Recommended

"My podiatrist was going to recommend a pair of orthotics for $700 until he saw a pair of Superfeet in the hiking boots I brought to show him. He said "Superfeet are good. Try them in your other shoes and that may get rid of your problem. So I spent about $200 for several pair of Superfeet instead of $700 for 1 pair of orthotics."

Neil S. (5/5)

Great Inserts

"Arches are well supported (coming from a history of major issues), and feet are comfortable. Hiking and daily walking are both great."

Gary B. (5/5)

These insoles are my go

"These insoles are my go to insoles for all of my hiking boots, motorcycle boots and ski boots. They provide great support and comfort for long days in all activities."

Darin K. (5/5)

Good insoles, heelcup definitely resists sliding.

"I dropped these insoles into a pair of 10W Army-issue temperate weather boots; they fit without any modification. Arch support is pretty good (I could stand to have a little more), but the heel cup is excellent for keeping the heel from sliding around inside the boot. If you have a pair of boots that fit your forefoot well but are a little wide at the back, these might be just the insoles for you."

Ben H. (4/5)

Not Great

"They were a lot taller in the heel than I expected, and after the first couple of uses, I had terrible blisters on the back of my heel. I've never had problems with my heels rubbing before. The padding is good on the sole, which is what I needed, but the heel is too high."

Justin S. (2/5)

Rucking

"Superfeet insoles are worth it, after rucking 12 miles my feet are always a little bit sore, but after changing to superfeet my heels feel so much better. The heel cushing on the superfeet insoles actually absorb the impact from my ruck that weighs 50 pounds. The purchase was well worth it. highly recommend for people who ruck long distances. (I was comparing the superfeet insole to the Nike sfb insoles. )"

Q&A

Are these good for around 5 miles trail running? I’m 6ft tall 180 lbs male and use trail running shoes. If not what do you recommend?
ADAPT Hike Max is a great option for trail running! Superfeet has a 60-day customer satisfaction guarantee, so if you decide to try these and they don’t end up working out, we are happy to help with a free return or exchange within 60 days (includes trimmed/worn insoles).
I’m 235lbs female doing a 4 day backpacking trip and my feet are always super sore and tired after a long hike. I wear Altra Lone Peak trail runners, are these a good option? TIA!
Hi Mary, ADAPT Hike Max is a great way to add comfort and support to your Altra Lone Peak trail runners. They are an adaptive insole, meaning they are more flexible and accommodating when compared to our other hiking-specific TRAILBLAZER insoles. https://www.superfeet.com/en-us/adapt-hike-max If you decide to try these and they don’t end up working out, we are happy to help with a free return or exchange within 60 days. This includes insoles that have been trimmed and worn!
How do you size these?
Hi Karla, Superfeet are trimmable insoles that are sold in size ranges. Check out "sizing and trimming" on our FAQ's page! https://www.superfeet.com/en-us/faq
I have the green insoles in my old school, Italian leather hiking boots. But think the insoles raises my heel enough so it slips a lot. Is there an insole that will allow my heel to sit lower in the boot so the boot will fit more as it was designed?
Hi Jack, FLEXthin is one of our lowest volume full-length insoles we sell. They are ultra lightweight and have a perforated forefoot to help with air circulation, and work great for hiking. https://www.superfeet.com/en-us/flexthin If you decide to try these and they don't end up working out, we would be happy to help with a free return or exchange per our 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
Would the Adapt Hike Max be comparable to the Trailblazers as far as keeping your foot from sliding inside the boot?
Hi Erick, Both the ADAPT Hike Max and TRAILBLAZER insoles feature a dual comfort foam layer and were created with hiking in mind to help stabilize your feet on uneven ground. ADAPT Hike Max has a responsive forefoot zone and energizing heel cushion that add additional grip to the insoles and help with that locked-in feeling on steep terrain. I’m happy to say that Superfeet has a 60-day satisfaction guarantee that covers trimmed and worn insoles, so if you decide to try these and they don’t end up working out, we are happy to help with a free return or exchange within 60 days.
